Welcome to the Oregon Seed Certification Service
AERIAL CROP INSPECTIONS BEGIN THE WEEK OF MAY 21ST (Weather Permitting)
Be sure to have any isolation stakes or flags out by MAY 21 to avoid Rejection Subject to Re-Inspection (RSR) notices and additional fees. Isolation markers must be clearly visible above the canopy and obviously identify each contaminated side. For grass seed fields, every side within the isolation distance of a certified field must be marked for border removal, unless within the 10% rule.
Good markers include:
Stakes topped with white chemical jugs
Posts with seed bags attached
Stakes with several feet of flagging ribbon attached
Poor markers include:
Thin plastic or wire stakes with no flagging
Markers that do not reach above the canopy
One single marker per side
OREGON SEED CERTIFICATION SERVICE WILL ROLL OUT TWO NEW eCERTIFICATION PROGRAMS TO SIMPLIFY YOUR CERTIFICATION REQUESTS ON MAY 4TH.
Program 1: Request field extension for your contracted fields
This program allows clients direct access to extension requests year round.
Program 2: Request sampling of Certified lots
This program provides the opportunity to electronically request OSCS sampling, eliminating telephone requests. It can be completed simultaneously with the creation of the sample certificate.
Both new programs will have the "NEW" icon to the right of their link on the eCertification page.
